Happy Birthday Landon!!!

LANDONS 3RD BIRTHDAY

Yesterday was Landon's birthday. He has made it to 3 years old. We will be having a party for him at the park in Sparta today to celebrate this wonderful time in his life. We are so thankful that Landon is in our lives and are looking forward to watching him play and open his gifts.

On Thursday we did have some news that brought us back to reality. Landon's lab work came back and he had critically high potassium levels. We were told to take him to the local hospital for more labs. This can be very dangerous for his heart. The hospital rechecked his labs and the potassium had come down some. The taem at Duke talked with us and changed Landon's diet and will keep monitoring his labs very close over the next week.

But today we will rejoice in the fact that Landon has made it this far, and has been such a blessing to our lives. Keep him in your prayers!

A Trip to Duke

Jeremiah and I took Landon to Durham yesterday. Landon had a clinic appointment at Duke. Things went very well. Landon is growing and is labs are great. Everything we are donig seems to be working.

We have been evnjoying our time with Landon and Ezekiel. We have had a very mild winter here in the mountains so Landon has gotten outside quite a bit. He really enjoys the huge spiral slide at the park, and throwing rocks in the river.

It's Christmas Time

Landon had a check-up appointment in Durham on Tuesday. Everything went well. Landon is eating everything he can get his hands on. He is gaining weight and all of his labs look great. The doctors are very happy with Landon and his ability to bounce back after his surgery.

Good News and Bad!

I LOVE My Great Granny Joines!!!!

Today is a sad day for us! Landon's great grandmother Ann Joines passed away this morning on Oct. 11th 2011 in Sparta NC. Landon loved his Granny very much and our family is very greatful we had the chance to spend the last year and a half with her. We lived next door to my husbands parents who took on Granny's care the last 2 years. Landon enjoyed sitting on Granny's bed and reading his books. He also enjoyed being there when Kathy would feed Granny. Landon liked sitting in the rocking chair in her room with her and showing her his toys.

Landon found a Passy!

Well so much for Landon getting rid of his passy. After two days without his passy Landon found 3. He was so happy to see his Passy he was laughing and trying to hug it. So as you can imagine we still have the nasty passy habit. Landon has been so cute the past few days. He is becoming more independant and more vocal everyday.

Last night Landon was talking with his grandmother over the computer. He could see her and vice versa. Kathy was blowing bubbles with her gum and Landon was trying to pop them. It was very cute and Landon talked about it all morning.
